The Journal of Intensive Care has been granted a 2020 Journal Impact Factor of “3.953”. In addition to this prestige, the number of submissions has increased drastically, with most of our reader hailing from around the world over the past year. We made personnel changes among the editorial board members this October, with two new deputy Editors-in-Chief, namely Drs. Takeshi Suzuki and Moritoki Egi, while, Dr. Nobuaki Shime continues to serve as a deputy Editor-in-Chief in order to manage the increased responsibilities of our editorial operations. We are committed to publishing high-quality research and review articles to inspire intensive care around the world.
