Please be sure to complete your abstract submission within the designated submission period.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • The Abstract submission for English Session is open to anyone.
  • Presentation style will be either Oral or Poster presentation.
  • The presentation style of an accepted abstract will be decided by the Program Committee of the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine (JSICM).

Copyright

The copyright for all accepted abstracts, including the rights prescribed in Articles 27 and 28 of the Japanese Copyright Act, shall be transferred to the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine (JSICM).
Authors shall not exercise their moral rights with respect to the accepted abstracts.
Please note that all accepted abstracts will be published on the JSICM website and will be searchable through the website's full-text search function.

Secondary Use

The copyright for the presentation content shall belong to the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine (JSICM).
Any secondary use of the presentation content without the prior permission of JSICM is strictly prohibited.

Substitute Presentations

If the presenting author is unable to give the presentation due to unavoidable circ umstances, a co-author may present on their behalf.

Abstracts Without Final Results and Presentations Inconsistent with the Submitted Abstract

Submission of abstracts for studies without final results is not permitted. In addition, presentations that differ substantially from the content of the submitted abstract will not be accepted.
Please ensure that the content of your abstract is complete and accurate before submission.

Abstract Preparation Guidelines

  • Authors: A maximum of 9 co-authors is allowed.
    If your presentation requires more than 9 co-authors due to unavoidable reasons, or if there are more than 10 affiliated institutions, please email the following information for all co-authors to the Secretariat (p-jsicm54@convention.co.jp):
    • Full name
    • Affiliated institution name
    • Please also include the abstract submission number and the name of the presenting author in your email.
  • Affiliations: Up to 10 affiliations
  • Abstract Title: Enter within 100 characters including spaces
  • Abstract Body:
    Without a table or figure: Up to 1,600 characters
    With one table or figure: Up to 1,200 characters
  • Figure/Table: Only one figure or table may be submitted. Please prepare a JPEG file in black and white, with a maximum size of 945 pixels (width) × 472 pixels (height), and ensure that all text within the figure/table is at least 9 points in size.
  • Please ensure that your abstract is concise and logically structured.
    Structured Abstract Format for "Research" Submissions
    Please write your abstract according to the following headings:
    [Objective] [Methods] [Results] [Conclusion]

    Structured Abstract Format for "Case Reports / Clinical Experience / Other Reports"
    Please write your abstract according to the following headings:

  • Submissions without results will not be accepted.
