Bylaws concerning the election of distinguished service members
Article 1. Distinguished service members will be selected from those who are 65 years old or over and satisfy either of the following conditions:
- (1) Person who has been a long-term member of the society and greatly contributed to it
- (2) Person who has been delegated as a councilor of the society for ten years or more
Article 2. Recommendations for distinguished service member will require the same procedures as those for an honorary member.
Article 3. The following benefits will be bestowed on distinguished service members.
- (1) The title will be given at the general assembly of members.
- (2) Benefits stipulated in Article 17, Chapter 2 and Article 29, Chapter 4 of the articles.
Article 8. Distinguished service member of the society will be referred to as gDistinguished Service Member of the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicineh in English.
Additional Clause: These bylaws will become effective from the date of the establishment of the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine. This revision will take effect on May 16, 2006.
