Bylaws of the Nursing Division: Selection of Committee Members
1. Requirements to be recommended
- 1) Person plays a leading role in intensive care nursing or similar fields
- 2) Person has been a clinical nurse or nursing educator for over ten years
- 3) Member of the nursing division of the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine
2. Procedures for recommendation
- 1) Those who recommend someone as a committee candidate shall submit his/her resume and a recommendation, stating achievements in intensive care nursing, to the director at the office of the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine
- 2) The director of the division shall recommend one person as a candidate for vice director of the division from facilities designated by the society from two years before the term.
- 3) The director of the division, before the completion of his/her term, shall ask local branches to recommend committee candidates.
- 4) The head of each local branch shall be responsible for the recommendation of committee candidates, and submit recommendation and application forms by October 30 one year before re-election.
- 5) Committee members shall recommend candidates for director of the division, standing committees, auditors, and committee members for the next term, and submit recommendation and application forms by October 30 one year before re-election.
3. Standards for delegation
- 1) One committee member shall be delegated to each facility nationwide.
- 2) Each local branch shall recommend one committee candidate per 100 members of the nursing division.
- 3) If there are not sufficient numbers of officer candidates, the director of the division will ask standing committee members to make recommendations again.
4. Others
- 1) If a person has been absent from the committee for over one year, the director of the division shall ask his/her intention.
- 2) The office of the division shall prepare a list of officer candidates and submit it to the director of the division by the end of November.
- 3) Members of subcommittees for the next term will be appointed after a decision has been made on the continuation of subcommittees for the next year.
- 4) Each subcommittee shall establish bylaws as necessary.
